Artist's Statement
"I
look for the hidden magic in everyday life. Be it an empty rocking
chair, a deteriorating grist mill, a child on a swing, or a horse
sampling the greener grass from the other side of the fence, there is a
subtle form and beauty in each of these moments. Though they may seem
humdrum and uninspiring, I try to approach these moments from a vantage
that exposes the latent lines and shapes that the casual observer might
overlook. Photography is an art form that requires patience and an
active, critical eye. This can sometimes make the work tedious, but
when light, shadow, and shutter come together in just that perfect,
albeit infrequent symphony, the results are their own reward. Please enjoy these moments, which I had the good fortune to witness and capture."
